Passport validity for PPR request

Hi guys!

Just want to know if anybody has an idea or had the same experience with passport issue.

Anybody have been asked for PPR with passports that is like 6 months valid? My concern is that it might be the cause why my papers are not moving.I have no plans of leaving Caanada anyway and will just do the exit at border in case or interview if I will get our passport stamped.

Or those who got a request for a new passport for PPR stamping, anybody tried sending a request letter to grant the use of the passport as they are not leaving Canada.

My daughter's passport is technically 6 months and 12 days valid as of today and renewal schedule is still on end of November and 10 weeks processing time.

as far as I know, it should be ok as long as the passport expiry date has not been passed.
a friend of mine landed on August with a passport that has about 1.5 month validity

Anybody here got their PPR or in DM status whose passports in 7 months or less? CIC isn't replying yet if my plea for consideration is possible....can't' sleep properly now :'(

Hello.. My husband passport is expiring on January 25,2015.We got our passport request last September 23,2014 and we did our landing at Coutts November 05,2014. My husband had only 4 months left on his passport when we submitted our passport to CiC for visa stamping and less than 3 months left when we did our landing. Everything went well. You have nothing to worry as long as your passport is not expired.

Yeah i got a friend too like that but it seems the officer handling my case is a tough cookie.i got a reply asking me to " Please just comply with our request ".Doing our renewal on tuesday but thank God a relative will help me expedite it from 10 weeks to 2 weeks.I just learned to accept it and still hoping for the best Christmas gift ever.Congrats to you btw
