passport update to divorce from single.

Hello All,

I am divorced and have a court issued divorce decree.

My indian passport lists my marital status as single(it is old and have not updated yet).

do i need to update and get it re-issued for document submission or with my current one, canada immigration office will reject my application as my current marital status is divorced and my passport lists it as single.

I would suggest to update your passport with your current status

I would suggest to update your passport with your current status

the thing is, passport services does not have such option or reason to change the status from single to divorced. They only have, single to married and married to divorce. Also the indian passport does not lists the marital status in it and my spouse entry is empty.
