Passport turnaround time-ND visa office

Hi All (New Delhi visa office Applicants),

Just wanted to quickly find out, what is the maximum time the New Delhi office is taking to return the PassPort back from the date of submitting the Passports for the stamping purpose (for the NEW FSW category).

1) I did send my RPRF with the FULL Application itself (more than 4 months back) and got my status changed to "In Progress" last month.
2) Got my medical and pp request last month.
3) Finished the medicals and I sent my Passports 3 weeks back and is still waiting for the Passport.

Does the turnaround time for the PassPort Stamping depend on the time taken for the security check duration & the medicals valuation time taken by the embassy? Is the security check done after the medicals clearance (+ve output)? plz advice. How come this security check and medical valuation duration is differing for person to person or case to case. i am waiting for my pport back for an emergency abroad travel. How long I need to wait to get my PPort back?

I have seen in this forum that few people got their pport back in 10 working days, few waiting for the past 2 months, few for even 6 months even in the NEW category. I am confused. Please advice.

Did you email them? What happened after that? Did you check with your consultant? When did they send your passport to CHC? Ask for some evidence from your consultant to prove that they have sent your passport.

i sent my passport to the new delhi office on 5th oct and I am still waiting!

Thanks Guys!! Thanks for your responses. In that case, I am wondering if it depends on the countries that the individual has visited. For eg. if the individual has visited US or UK or Canada the CIC guys would have easy access to check with the Security personnel of those countries and also the process with those countries will be very quick and are all computerized end to end... but in case of Pakistan, Afg, Mexico, China, or any other third world countries.. the process may be very slow. Does that make sense?????

I am stressing on this (delay is due to the countries visited) becoz ... only the security check happens aftter the medicals.... so, the delay in the pport return is something to do only with the security check.. plz. comment.

Jigna, in ur case i am wondering if ur consultant did send ur passports to the ND office or still held up with them or sent out only after a month time. Please double check with them and fire them. rgds, George
 
ya.. i ve cheked with them..they have sent the pp and rprf fees together.

i ve also received rprf receipt dated 12th oct....
i ve also asked them to mail ND abt this delay....
but they told to wait for 90 days.., then after we will mail....
60 days are exactly completed.......

lets see...what happens....

i think u should def email them!
i did d same and d thing is we had to give an additional medical result so our passport were taken into account from 5th nov.....................
even i had emailed them coz i have to go to canada in january...my university session begins
