Passport/travel document request by cic.. Please help. Urgent

Hi guys,

I have got an additional document request from cic, which I have to upload with in a week.

This is what they have written :
We have begun processing your application. To Make a decision we need following information:

Passport/travel documents : valid passport or travel document

Please upload these documents to you my cic account.

Has anyone else received a similar request? I am confused because I had already mentioned my passport details while filling the forms. Do they need a scan copy of my passport? That's what they meant?

I had it in my doc list and had to include all the pages of my passport with any stamps and the page with my personal info. I had to provide the same information when I got my LMIA. I don't know if these are connected, as in they will compare them to make sure the LMIA was actually issued to the same person. I was also asked to provide my employment offer to prove I had a permanent job offer as well as my LIMA reference number.

yes harwinder, i had got my ITA 2 months back and then i submitted my application last month, and now I got this request.

thanks budwiser, I am already in canada on work permit, so I guess, i will upload all the pages of my passport including front and back and visa stamp pages.

I had sumbitted every page of my passport to my lawyer with my previous application and I still got that request for Passport/travel documents requestion also. My llawyers asked for a color copied and resumbitted with that so I hope thats what they wanted. The letter is very general and doesn't give much guidance.

I got the same request.

I submitted my passport including my work-permit in one file originally. I only scanned the pages where it has relevant info and not blank pages - maybe that is the reason.

Did you guys re-submit only your passport (all pages) ?

should i scanned whole passport or only biodata pages?
my old and cancelled passport contain visa stamp, entry stamps, exit stamps
but my new passport/renewed passport dnt have ant thing or stamp on it. should i scanned both passports.
i have also visa documents or travel documents for my old passport. please help and reply

It says it just wants your VALID passport only - travel documents are for those who cannot get a passport. Just upload it as one pdf, with any pages with markings on them, and a very clear, preferably color, copy of your biodata page. You really don't have to submit anything else, especially an old, invalid passport.
