Hello,

I applied my TRV online on December 2014 and sent Ottawa my passport in January. Yesterday morning the status on my CIC website shows my application has been approved and the case is closed. But until now my return Xpresspost tracking number is not activated. I am trying to catch a plane Friday next week. I am concerned when I can receive my PP. Anyone knows when will they send back my passport back? Is the tacking reliable? Thanks!

No.


CIC sends the envelopes to Canada Post. Canada Post is the one responsible for activating the tracking numbers. They are not reliable on that sense, but they are reliable on what is important.... to start moving the package.
 
Thank you very much. That means you might receive your passport before even see it activated... Hopefully that is the case for me.
