No, I didn't have to. And yes, I was lucky enough that my app got approved quickly. For what it's worth, I used all available methods to send my FBI PCC - I first raised a general CSE; then I uploaded via MyCIC (the field was not open earlier); and then I raised a CSE to NDVO. I didn't hear back for 3 weeks after my first CSE so I took the risk [thinking, what the hell do I have to lose anyway] and emailed NDVO [and I had known by then that my file had been transferred to NDVO]. I got PPR the next day after I emailed NDVO. So there's that. Take from it what you will 8) but your mileage may vary. I hope this helps. All the best.

I submitted my passport with photographs on 14th april after I got Ready for visa email on 13th april. But I did not get my passport back yet. It has been more than 3 weeks. Anybody here in same situation. My primary visa office was Ottawa. But I was asked to submit passport at new delhi because presently Iam in India. Please share your timeline if anybody in same situation. Mostly people gets their passport back in one week. I already sent them an email. Suggestions please????

Congratulations! It should be done by next week. I dropped mine off on a Tuesday and received by Thursday the week after. When do you plan to land? We should keep in touch.

My passport was sent to NDVO on May 11th through VFS. The current status is "being processed". I could not send my wife's passport along as she is currently in the US. I have sent a letter along with my passport requesting them to change her VO to LA. I have also sent an email to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca requesting the same.

Anyone else been through a similar situation? How long did it take NDVO to send your passport in such a scenario?

Interesting situation (in the sense of the complexity involved). But from what I gather, not unusual to make such requests. I've seen a few posters who've asked similar questions, although I can't seem to find such posts right now. Ask Asivad Anac, the helpful poster. I think what you've done should do the trick. Also send the request to delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca and mention that you've already sent your passport in (i.e., it's "being processed" right now). Good luck and do let us know how it goes.
