Yup.. the timeline will be extended by a few days..

I submitted our passports on the 07th in VFS Bangalore and from 08th onwards it has been under processing in Delhi. We mailed and called but to no avail.

With this long weekend coming in between, by Monday it will be 3 weeks since our passport submission. Hope something works out soon.

The VFS Official told me the processing time can be between 3 to 7 days, typically. When I submitted my passports I got them back the next itself. Hope this helps . Good Luck!

Agreed.. but this is a case only if you deliver your Passport to either Delhi VFS or Chandigarh VFS... for other centers, it take at-least 2 weeks.

No Appointment is needed.. just walk in to your nearest VFS office and take a token and when in turn.. pay and submit your passports with the email print and photos.. You'll be done in 10 mins..

I'll advice you to go first thing in the morning as a crowd of travel agents with big bunch of visitor visa applications do usually turn up mid day around and delay the proceedings..

Do you know if all VFS offices (particularly Pune) have a photobooth.
My photographer messed the sizes. The photo studios in my area are not very professional for visa purposes.

I'm not sure on this.. According to the VFS portal for canada.. it did not say the availability of Photo booth at bangalore center.. but it was there.. you can try calling them to check..

"Visa application, tracking ID No.*********** – Passport has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, on 28/03/2016 vide courier partner. To track the status of the shipment, please visit courier partner website."
