Same here. I am starting to think that Canada Post only picks up the packages once a week from Ottawa now since there are too many applications.
Shouldn't they be doing the opposite of that then? More posts => More numbers of times they have to pick up.

I am primary applicant with one dependent my son, but he is Canadian
should I send his passport as well? or just my passport?

The more times they go to pick up, the less efficient the process is... just my two cents. It might be more logical to pick up large batches and then process them. We will never really get to know how or why something happens with CIC.

The great thing about all this (other than getting PR in this beautiful country of course) is that I am learning to be more patient.

Hi friends,

Can I do flagpoling/landing at rainbow bridge or anyother bridge without having US visa? Do we go till the US border or not? My application got approved waiting for my passport to arrive.

Carry the below docs in a folder with a black pen:

1. Passport with immigrant visa (if applicable)
2. Two 25 Cents coins ($0.25 X 2)
3. CoPR Letter (do not sign it beforehand) [*Check for any errors - spellings, place of birth, last entry date, first entry date, etc.]
4. Work Permit OR Study Permit
5. Canadian Employment Letter (if employed)
6. Bank Statement/Letter (Mobile app showing latest balance)
7. Extra Photo(s) (if needed)

This has been answered several times before. Yes, you can flagpole without a valid US visa. It doesn't matter.

1. You do not need a US visa to flagpole!

2. And yes of course, you have to go to the US side of the border, otherwise how do you leave the country!?! -- It is essentially needed to 'land' and formalize your landing process. You have to bring back a white paper called "flagpole note" issued by the US Border officer and show that to the Canadian officer on your re-entry to the Canadian side.

Good luck!

But it has us waiting :(

Everything possibly. bank statements, hydro bills, address proof, WP, SP, employment letter, paystubs, etc

I am renting a basement and I don't have any lease or hydro bills? what should be the explanation

Drivers License would be okay for address proof?

Yes they just need an address proof. I haven't gone personally but that's what I have read.
