Its always better to carry more documents than less. I like to be on the safe side. Its a preference really.

That's not what you said earlier though. We mustn't say that "they need an address proof " without knowing for sure or without any personal experience. We must abstain from dishing out misleading suggestions and confusion-causing statements. Unless you have official links or the source of what you read.

But yes, always more docs than less is a good idea! :)

Try it and let us know how it went.
I did yesterday!
I have the US visa so I drove across the bridge and did some shopping and drove back to Canada.
You just need to tell the officer that you are here for landing and give them your passport and COPR.
They asked few questions and signed the paper.
That's it! Very easy process.

If you don't have US visa, you can walk across the bridge and get a refusal letter from US border and walk back.

Yes but there are multiple reports saying that the border crossing in Niagara Falls is no longer an option on weekends to validate COPR. Just Tue-Wen-Thursdays from now on allowed. I do have US visa, but reluctant to do 300kms round trip for nothing.

There, atleast 4 people who were asked for some address proof. Pretty sure there are more.

I weighed all pros and cons and decided not to do landing this weekend. Will take a day off next mid-week and do all properly. Instead, will spend this weekend celebrating :)))

Thanks guys for sharing all this helpful info, and good luck for ones who are still waiting!!!

They all carried it but CIC doesn't ask for it. They just want to make sure the PR card is mailed to the correct address and it can be done verbally. Like I did! Anyway, docs which I listed will have address proof (bank statement, CoPR, Letter of Employment, etc) and usually people have their driver's license or health card on them at all times! But its good that you read this forum a lot! :) Let me know if the officer asks you to confirm the address verbally or insists on showing a proof of address (both very different to each other)!

My tracker says that PP was delivered but I can't find it in the mail box

im thinking to go today.. but officers have different answers one lady told me that I can come during the weekday and now one guy told me I cnt take appointment. It is frustrating

My tracker says that PP was delivered but I can't find it in the mail box
Update: It turns out the delivery guys scan the parcels twice before heading for delivery to save time. That is why the tracker says it was delivered but which does not necessary mean it was.

I would have preferred they let people use FedEx instead of Canada Post for reliability.

received my passport today
everything on copr is correct except for original and last entry date
can i still do landing in this case and ask customs officer to amend it?

My application finally got approved after two weeks!
PP delivered - 26th May
App approved - 9th June
