Processed PR at Coutts Alberta, amazing people, smooth process.
Just a word of advise:
Try to get into the queue early morning.
Bring all your visas + workpermit + old study visa(if studied in Canada) etc..

I did not get an email, but I linked my paper application to MyCIC account. The status of my application can now be tracked also fform MyCIC account as well as ECAS. on myCIC account this application was updated today. when I checked.
