The CIC website is pretty specific that you can only cross border with CoPR (if you don't have your PR card yet) if you cross in a private vehicle.

Guys who landed, was your TRV stamped as “invalid” after you’ve completed the landing process?

The reason I’m asking is that I do want to land as soon as possible but I have tickets booked to US for February 17-20.. I am considering doing landing now and then using my worker TRV to get back because as far as I understand it’s only necessary to show it to the airline reps, Canadian customs I can clear with my CoPR.

Yes, I know that. And the reason they say that is because CoPR is not a valid travel document and I won’t be able to board the plane without the card, the airline reps won’t let me. So, as long as my TRV is not stamped invalid, I can board the plane with my TRV but go through Canadian customs with CoPR. Once you’re a PR, they can’t refuse you entry, whether you have the card or not.

Hi there
I send my passport on 6 Jan 2017
Received on 10 Jan 2017
Stamped 13 Jan 2017
Tracker activated 17 Jan 2017 16:32
Received 18 Jan 2017.
I leave in Alberta.
I am planning to go coutts border to do my entry to Canada.
I have to work till 1 and it's 4:30 minutes drive from where I leave.
I have a question
So till what time do the officers do the processing ?
What time do they officially stop taking the application.
And one of my friend got his copr too. So he wants to come with me.
Can we go together? Does officer has issues in those case ?
Is it worth me going tomorrow or I should try some other day.

You can go anytime you want, not sure about midnight there but here in BC it is 24 hours open, my friend went there around 1 am. I did mine around 9 pm and two friends were with me and we drove there. No issues though. Good luck.

Flagpolled yesterday at Peace Arch.
US officer was good. Simple questions. Gave me the flagpole paper.

Walked over to the Canadian side. First stop(Borderside where the cars are stopped and checked etc)- Canadian officer checked my passport and flagpole paper asked me if I did duty free shopping or carrying any weapons etc.

Then told me to head over to the Canadian office where I met with another officer(pretty chill guy too) asked me a few questions, told me to sign the COPR etc. Gave me an information document of becoming a PR and how to hold on that status etc. Told me to wait till he checked all the paperwork(wait time was approx 10-15 mins. Could have been less. I wasnt checking.) He then called out- congratulated me on becoming a PR. Told me about waiting for the card and if I had to travel what I had to do etc. Pretty nice guy. He gave me another paper that I had to show to another lady officer outside who let me through(there were no physical barriers). Just an officer checking.

Overall experience- 10/10. (Both US and Canada).

The distance between US and Canadian border check in PEACE ARCH was a bit of a walk. It was chilly- good thing I was dressed warm.

Now I am a PR. Waiting for my PR Card.

I wish you all the very best. Ask me any questions if you guys got. I will try to answer them. Cheers.
Hello, sir. Did you get to take a photo of the "flagpole letter"? Is it an "admission refusal letter" or does it mention "flagploing" in the letter at all? I think I have been many different version of the letters. Different letters may result in different record in the US system.

Thank you.

Hey guys,

I received my passport & COPR yesterday (January 12, 2017). Please see below my timeline:

PPR: December 15th, 2016
Passport Sent: December 19th, 2016
Passport Received & Signed by IRCC: December 22nd, 2016
eAPR Approved & Closed: January 9th, 2017
Tracker activated: January 10th, 2017
Received: January 12th, 2017

However, I noticed that the Orig. Entry Date on my COPR is wrong tho ... and also, IRCC returned both of my photos (one is on my COPR and the other one with my name and DOB written on the back is in the return envelope), I thought IRCC will keep one of the photo, very strange. I am wondering if anybody here received all your photos back along with your COPR and/or passport, thanks.

Hope everyone has a good weekend :)
Hello Sir, I think I have not see the Orig. Entry Date error before. I do have seen the Last Entry Date error. Did you have the same last entry date as the original entry date?

Thank you.

I got my COPR today and both Last Entry Date and Original Entry Dates seem to be incorrect. Should I send a request for amendment right away? Does anyone have any experience with this? The CIC website says the processing time for amendments is 6 months

Hey.

Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of it. However, I clearly remember the document having a note- "Flagpole". The officer even asked me if I intend to visit US. I told him yes. He told to apply for the USA visa as well.

Hope this helps. Cheers.

Hi Ananta, I am also an outland applicant and meet the same situation as you. May I ask which number did you call? Cuz I also called CPC-Ottawa but they transfer me to the Web form of the outland VISA office at which my application was processed, and I need to wait for their reply. I was wondering did you get your information directly through CPC-Ottawa? Thanks!
