Passport taking too long at VFS

I applied on 2nd Oct, 2022. Got my PPR on 30th Nov and I submitted my passport on 2nd Dec but I’ve not received my passport from VFS and not a mail since then apart from the acknowledgment mail.
Please anyone in this current situation??

Ps: I applied from Nigeria and my passport submission was at VFS Abuja.

More so, I met a guy at the same place I submitted my passport on 2nd Dec and only for me to hear he got his passport back on 6th December. Now, he’s planning to leave this Sunday, 18th Dec.
I’m just curious what’s keeping them waiting.

The fluctuations are common. Some countries are having two to three visa offices so they get it in short time for instance India has three VO and all three are working. However some countries are over loaded with not only their applicants but others too like VO london is dealing with applications from UK and also PR applicants from Pakistan. VO Abu Dhabi dealing with Qatar, kuwait Oman and Pakistani applicants.
But mostly within 28 days you will get it.
