Ecas: In Process

15 working days it is. We have lost 3 days (Dec 26,27 of 2011 and Jan 3 of 2012) as part of holidays. We might not hear anything before we pass Golden 15 days. ;)

Hoping to see some thing like address disappearing or status change on Ecase, tracking # pops up on canadapost.ca or email in the inbox soon. :)

Same here Gaijin... I don't see my address in ecas; I don't know when it disappeared but yeah can't track my return envelope. If I am not rong my 15 days are up tomorrow. I hope we hear something soon.

I just checked my E-cas and it says decision made.
Do we get an email saying they sent back our passports?
Once we get PPR, it automatically means we were approved?

@ sheltieaholic : I just checked mine and it says Decision Made too!! Congrats! We should be expecting passports back soon. They don't email when they send the passports out but you can track it on Canada Post if you have the tracking # of your return envelope. & Yes it's approved if they said ready for visa issuance in your PPR email.

Congratulation sheltieaholic. It means your passport has been stamped with PR visa. If you are lucky enough you might see your tracking number active on canadapost.ca by the end of tomorrow. Otherwise you may need to wait till Wednesday(mail delivery day). Keep your eyes on canadapost.ca hereafter.

>>Do we get an email saying they sent back our passports?
The answer is big NO. They will not sent you any further email. Your file is closed. Get ready to do the landing. Wish you good luck.

As far as I know it is approved once we get the PPR. But there are some circumstances like new born baby, newly marriage in between your last correspondence with CIC and issued PPR , they ask us not to submit passport but go through the process once again.

cheers...

Thanks! I was just curious as it says on my E-cas saying 'the decision is made, we will be contacting you concerning the decision'

I am excited! what are your plans for landing?
I think I am going to try to go to local CIC office as a walk in. (I live in a small town where CIC office doesnt seem to be busy..)

Walk-in won't work for me. Therefore I will try to get an appointment with local cic first as soon as I see my tracking number appears on canadapost.ca. In case cic don't call me back before I get my passport in my hand, I will drive to the border and get it done on the same day. I have no more patience. ;)

Hi,

I have sent my passport out and will reach Fort Erie on 11 Jan 2012.

Just wondering if any one is aware of the turn around time. Thank you

I now can track my passport !!

Party time starts now. Let's know your landing experience. :)

I started to worry about me not being able to land as a walk in...
I am going to try to call CIC call centre first thing in the morning on Monday.
I really hope they don't make us wait. We have waited long enough!
