Passport Submission at Canadian Embassy Riyadh

Session will start from 1st sept. But delaying visas during this season this normal fashion of Riyadh embassy.

Every year they are too slow during July August..

Today I complete 39 days since I submitted my passport. Hopefully we are going towards the near end.

Can we complain to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) about this delay. One of my friend submitted pp on 25th Aug to NDVO, and today he received it back. My employer didn't allow me to travel or else I would have flown to India for Visa stamping. I advise guys who are able to travel to India, its better to go there and get it stamped rather than waiting here helplessly. Holding pp's for 8-10 weeks is a shameless act from there part. What if there is an emergency... really annoyed...

Actually they are responding to any emails.. otherwise i would have took my passport back and submitted to NDVO...

Becoz in 2012 FSW was paused till 2014..

That was logical answer, but it was not that bad few months ago. This is the worst period.

in july 2014, I submitted my passports to Riyadh VO for stamping and they returned it in 9 days with visas. Also Passports submitted by others got them back within 15 days max.

I guess there is some issue this year only after 2011.

It was the same until July, then they slowed down. Really frustrating, and they dont respond to our emails.

I received email from London visa office, they indicated that Riyadh office is facing backlog of passports and they are trying to clear them as soon as they are able to. No time limit was given. But they requested for patience to the end of the process.

I have a very important update for you. I went to Canadian Embasy Office in riyadh yesterday at 4 pm and told the security guard that i have submitted my passports for 42+ days and no response from the Embassy at all. He asked me to send email and i answered i send it twice and still no responce and i need my passports urgently. He took my pp no and contacted one of the officers. After 10 min he came and told me you can withdraw your passports today without visa stamped or wait till tomorrow and take them with visa. Of course i waited and today 2 pm VAC called me to collect my passports.
Now i have my passports with the mapple leaf visa on it. Wish you all good luck and hope you could recieve your pp asap. :-* :-*

I am glad things worked out for you in the end....I don't think people should have to be troubled so much just for a passport submission....in sha allah may we all hear something soon!

I think once we get into 40+ days then it should be issued soon, hopefully !
