Hi fellows,,, I have an update

I have submitted my passport on 10th of August,, since I have a business trip on 9th of Sep and as per vfs advise when I discussed the issue with them I sent the below email to Riyadh VO on 16th of Aug
" My name is xxxxxxxxx with Application number xxxxxxxxxxx (Permanent Residence) handled in London Visa Office. As per London Visa Office request, I have submitted my passport to your office via VFS Jeddah on 10 Aug
Due to an urgent business issue , I have to travel outside KSA on 9/9/2015 till 28/9/2015. In this context, I would like to get your kind confirmation whether my passport will be ready and sent back to me by this date in order to manage my bookings or no. In case no,, can I get my passport back for this period of time the send it back to you once I come back or I have to cancel my trip. Appreciating your understanding and cooperation"

Today I got this reply from Riyadh VO "Dear Applicant,We will be sending out your passport within this week"

I donno if it will be ready with visa or without as per the request I sent then send it back to them after my trip,,,but in this case I still have 2 weeks till my trip, why did they send it now!!!!!!!

I am so confused and eagerly waiting

Good luck, at least they replied after 9 days. This week means tmrow and after tmrow. Plz update us with the positive news.

Nothing yet bro,,, I even checked VFS status online and called their customer service but nothing new :'(

I don't know what they are doing in Canadian Embasy in riyadh, it is a 30 minutes job and they take 38+
days and still processing! !!!!!! :-\ :-\ :-\

Asked the guy about the delay, he said large influx of student visas and they have only max two weeks from the date of submission to stamp and return the student pp's. Might see more pr visas processed from the next month. He gave me an estimated time of three weeks to get pp's back but seeing the trend i might need to wait 6-7 weeks.

All the best, Ahmed, for a speedy return. I wonder until when the flood of Student visas lasts? Since colleges are starting in early September, is it fair to assume the flood of student visas is no over or will be over by end of this month?
