Current time is around 8-10 days! Seems their workload has reduced significantly.

Best wishes.

Thank you.

You're right, however, their standard timings are quite general and doesn't really change on their forms that we get.

Regarding contacting the embassy - well, that's a never ending struggle - they're like ... send email and by the time their reply reaches us, we'll already be having canadian passports in Canada :D

Dear Friends,
Quick question, one of my friend has recently got PPR and her question is as follows:
In the PPR email, there is a requirement of submitting 2 pictures along with app. number and name of person written on the back and it is explicitly mentioned in the instruction form that "do not use ball pen for writing on the back of the picture".

After trying many times using fountain pens, the ink on the back the photo is not drying. so as an alternative, she has submitted two photos without any thing mentioned on back and two photos with details filled ball pen. Will there be any sort of issue?

By the grace of Almighty Allah, I have recieved my passport with visa today.

Thank you Allah for everything.

Thanks for all the forum members for their help and time.

Wishing you a successul life inside and outside Canada. ;)

Alhamdulillah Today I got my passport back with COPR from VFS Dubai after 9 days.

Truly understand her situation as I too experienced the same.
What I had done was that I used a gel typr ball pen i.e a pen with thick ink and looks like it's written from an ink pen.

Not sure if others may have used other alternatives. However, as required specifically, she should have written details on the back of photographs.

Guya a quick question.

Do I need a trasit visa if I'm taking connecting flight from US to canada. Actually I'm getting flight from UAE ---US---canada and connection time in US is only 2 hours . I have Pakistan passport and resident of UAE. I'm planing to land in Dec,2015.

Thanks

You DO require transit visa even for a connecting flight. So better avoid it, check KLM which has a transit at Amsterdam, and you don't need any visa for a transit if ur final destination in Canada ...
