passport stamps translation query

Hi everyone,

Finally starting the process to apply for citizenship and have a question.
For those of you that got your passport stamps translated, did you supply a notarized page (with notary signature, seal etc.) for EVERY stamp/page translated in your passport?

My wife and I have about 5 stamps each that need translated and if every single page needs to be notarized it would be really costly.
Just trying to understand what the requirements are in terms of supplying stamps translations?

Any tips on picking a notary in Canada that won’t cost me an arm and a leg? Thank you kindly!

Every single non-Eng/Fr stamp has to be translated by an authorized translator. For blank pages, just a coloured photocopy suffices.

All pages that are not in English or French have to translated, but it is not a matter of doing all of what you mention above for each individual page. Rather, with the right organization, it is enough to have the translations along with a single "certification". With a total of 10 stamps, you should be able to get it all done for less than $100 ($50 each). Try Docsbase, which is what I used: Docsbase - Professional translations

Not for citizenship (rather PR app), we did not submit translations of any passport stamps. Most did not have anything that needed translation - either English/French text or the stamps had nothing but name of port of entry and date stamp. I don't think any visas with detailed info in a difficult language (possibly in a language the visa office handling the file would have understood). There might have been a stamp or two (not visa) with only Arabic plus date visible, don't recall.

Anyway, I do support that far better to do the translations. But, if it really is just entry stamps from airport, there's not much to translate.

If you have travel to Saudi Arabia, there is plenty to translate on the stamps itself. They follow the Hijra calendar for these stamps.
On a travel to Egypt, the customs guy wrote a whole story on my passport - essentially a record of the gear I was carrying. Serial number for the camera body / lenses etc etc. Took a few $$$ for that to be translated

Yes, it is just port, entry date, and exit date that have to be translated. The companies that do such know that, so it should not be an issue if just one sends the pages.
