Passport stamping time in New delhi for Spouse visa to Canada

Hello,
I Have applied for spouse visa to Montreal, Canada. WE submitted our file in Canada in October, 2011. We received a letter for submitting other documents and passport on 1 March, 2012. We have been asked to send it by any safe mail, so we sent it by Blue Dart. I have sent my passport and other documents on 16th March and still no news from Delhi high commission. Our consultant in Canada says, it is just a matter of time, I will obtain visa soon. On CIC website it shows, decision take and a letter sent to you. A letter which asked for passport and other documents. After that no updates from them. Is it normal? They also have not said anything about an interview. How much time does Delhi high commission take for returning passport?
Our consultant says our file is through, but I do not know when will I get my passport back? Does Delhi High Commission calls for an Interview after they ask for passport?

There is no fixed timeline.
since you know that your case is though , you may have to wait for some time or you may contact your MP.

Hi, thanks for reply, but I do not know what is MP? I also checked web link given below your reply, in which many applicants' username and other data was given, I could not understand terminology, like PPR, CPC,PPR days, DM/Visa. Please if you can help to understand. Thanks again

hi Guys, thanks for your kind and quick responses, I had asked my consultant to contact new delhi high commission. Embassy has talked to my consultant and said, they are working on my file and it is getting delayed because of new rules and regulations, and they will contact me or my consultant in some time.
Just to refresh, i have already submitted my passport in March, and my consultant has said that my file is through but getting this kind of answer is bit stressing. I do not understand what does it mean by they will contact me? Will they ask for interview or rejection? Don't know. I would like to inform that we had done love marriage and that too without our parents agreement. Should they look at this as a problem or fake marriage?
PLease I need some good advice or need to understand what is going on. Thanks.

yes they will call you for the interview if they want. they will give you chance to explain you case so dont worry. have patience

i have submitted my application last year in 2011 due to some reason my process got delayed and now recently i've done my re medical test and sent my pp along with that its been 3 weeks but there is no reply. Before my e-cas states med. receive......... started processing ............
but since two days when i tried to check my ecas it does not show anything is it normal??

hi i sponsered my parents in oct 2009 and i recieved a letter for the passort to be submitted in nov for visa and my parents courier there passport right away to the visa officer on online status it was comming decision made but it is now feb they did not recieved there passport back and :-\ now the online status is not conning it is comming invalid what should i do
