Passport stamped with student visa but contains incorrect expiry date

So I got my passport stamped with the student visa on it. I'm an upcoming international student in January 2022

However, the expiry date on the visa is just four months (30/04/2022) while my course duration is till December 2022.

What do I do in this case as I'm really worried? Can I extend this while in Canada? What would be the process to do so?

Also, my passport expires in 2024.

The expiration date doesn't matter at all. Just make sure the study permit shows Dec. 2022 when you pick it upon arrival.

Understood but wouldn't the expiry date on my study permit be the same as the expiry date on the counter foil? Do I need to tell the immigration officers at the airport maybe?


I was worried because my friend going along with me for the same course got an expiry date of 30/04/2023, whereas I got it for 30/04/2022
