Hi,

I just received my passports from Ottawa but there is no COPR in the package. There is another letter that states that we are returning your passports without a COPR or permanent residence visa, and we will contact you on the steps to confirm your status as a permanent resident.
What does this mean? Has anybody encountered the same issue?

that is weird, when did you receive your PPR? is your application approved at ECAS or GKEY?

May 1, although the application was approved back in december. I spoke to the call-center agent, and she said that they are changing some of the process due to COVID. Looks like they skipped the landing process, and that I would be receiving further instructions. Cant do anything else but wait. Application is approved in GCKey

i have seen some people receiving the permanent residence through email directly without landing or interview, so let's see what they tell you.

Inland applicant. PPR request received early March. Passport sent to Ottawa early in March. Delivered to Ottawa March 13 or so.
The return tracker never activated. The online system never updated. I raised the web form once and received a general response that 'the application is still in process', it was in May or so.

Yesterday, I received a call from an immigration officer to confirm if I'm still living in Canada and my home address. The conversation was quick.
After the call, COPR email was sent to me ' Congratulations! You are now a permanent resident of Canada!' with the official document attached etc, and the request to send the photos again to get the final original PR printed. In the meantime, the letter attached is to be used inside Canada as my permanent residence status confirmation.

WAITED over 3 months after PPR with silence. Looks like thing are moving but slowly. GOOD LUCK to you all!

damn, nice, I am like you exactly, PPR March 12 and Delivered March 16.
I have a company interested in hiring me and they have contacted an immigration company to follow up my application and IRCC told them last week:

"they are processing my PR application on an expeditious basis. "

So hopefully i will hear something like yours soon.

Now do you have any change in your profile, like approved, or something?

Nothing yet changed but maybe the system needs to restart etc. I bet it will get updated soon.

the important thing is that you have the email hahahaha.

Paper based we will have to wait a little bit longer I guess
I have noticed we have the same timeline, same kind of paper based application and our dependents are abroad. CPC Ottawa has received copy of my passport on March 19th whereas my dependents, living in my home country, sent their copies of the passports to Paris VO. They got their COPR on the first week of April and I have not.
Despite multiple emails, webforms and calls all I got was very generic answers.
Last week, through another webform, I emphasized that my dependents can come to Canada anytime as soon as I am granted Permanent Residency status. Yesterday, I got a reply from them asking for the applicants current residential address.
I have noticed you have received COPR and you are PR since July 10th.
My questions for you are:
Did you inform them that your dependents were ready to travel?!
Did you got any communication from IRCC before they issued your COPR?!

I would like to thank you in advance for any inputs about this because I am freaking tired of waiting and waiting and waiting. And waiting some more.
Thanks.

He already send email taht he's changing his address and that he will send requested documents to Ottawa instead. My question is, should he send Original passport or just a photocopy since he doenst need any entry visa anyway? Thank you..

Quick question once your passport is delivered to Ottawa office, do you get a confirmation mail/receipt from Office(CPC) ?

My passport is delivered couple days ago but not communication yet, apart confirmation from Fedex I have nothing to confirm it has reached right department or being processed. Please share if anyone had some experience.
