Yeah sometimes they send messages by error, It has happened to me before.
CIC agents can quickly check this for you.

Asking because when I talked to a CIC agent after sending my passport, they said my application is not yet in their system but when I tracked it through the courier that I sent it with, they said it has been delivered.

Did you speak to someone after you sent your application?

they mention it as received on 28 and updated my account on sept 6 it was in printing office they said approximate 10 days after they send it back to us

Is there any section in your account that says about Document Status?
Yes there is counterfoil and validity of my visa to exit canada and come back
 
Sent passport on Aug 23, CIC updated my acct on Aug 29, got passport back on Sep 4th.

I'm going to border tomorrow, what should I take with me except passport and confirmation of PR ?

When did you medical expired and when they applied for the extension?
And if you know when your medical extension was approved could you tell me?
