Delivery proof from Canada Post says it was signed by some person. But, is it OK to call cic and confirm the same? If yes, what number to call them on?

I called them today, asking if they could confirm receipt of my passport. It turns out it's too soon and they haven't opened the envelope yet, so the agent could not see any notes for my application, from the Ottawa Office.
I contacted Canada Post to know the name of the person who signed the delivery proof, a person called Schuiteboer signed, which made me feel less anxious, to be honest.

My passport has been delivered on July 4th, so our timeline is pretty close.

I called CIC today and they told me there are no notes on the file yet regarding approval/receipt of documents. They were delivered on 27 June. Should I be worried?

I did not get any email. I just check my account online every day, and today it says " Your action is required". Then after I clicked in, I found " your application is approved" with information of PR visa along with passport number.

Today (9 July), I just received an auto email from IRCC, saying that "your application is updated" and told me to check my online application.
8 July (yesterday) I saw that my Permanent Residence application was approved.

I also checked immigrant track. It takes 2 -5 days before return envelop activated (Canada post). Definitely, a few cases waited 2 weeks before return envelop activated.

Don't worry, it takes time to process the passports. I'm sure you will hear something very soon.
Keep calling them or check your CIC online account (if you have access).

Same boat. My (and my wife's) passports were delivered on June 24 and signed by someone there. I called IRCC on Monday and they said there were no notes of passport receipt.

Our passports were received by a company (SIC) collaborates with IRCC if you submitted to the PO Box. So there’s a delay between the time it’s delivered and the actual time it’s delivered to the IRCC office.

I also tried to get update from Canada post today that is onJuly 10 2019 , they told me the receiving guy name Schuiteboer , so I think we are okay
