Visa except country i hope i will have in by Thursday so i can go for Landing this weekend..

Congratulations!! Can i ask you why they took fingerprints? You are not from visa except country for US? I was just wandering because when i did the border crossing they didn't took fingerprints ...

We are not from Visa exempt country. I have no idea why they took fingerprints

Hello everyone,

Please see my timeline and landing experience below;

PPR received : 31 Jan 2019.
Passport sent: 31 Jan 2019 (evening)
Passport received: 04 Feb 2019
CIC account updated to approved: 08 Feb 2019
Tracker Activated: 13 Feb 2019
Passport received: 14 Feb 2019.

Same day went for landing at Niagara falls as they do landing on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8 am to midnight. Crossed the border by walking (required one dollar to pay before the pedestrian path). reached the US border, where officer was nice. He asked me about the reason and handed over administrative refusal entry form to USA and advised me to follow the same path to go back to Canadian side.

At POE for Canada, office asked me the reason and handed over me yellow slip and directed me to immigration counter. I was unlucky because that particular day their systems were down and they told me to come back again.( Missed on the last step).

Next day drove to 1000 Island border to complete the process. Where officer provided the refusal slip and advised to go back Canadian side. I was the only one on the immigration counter. it took 20 min for the officer to process the PR.

Finally he congratulate me and asked me if i have any question or not. Handed over me the copr copy and the process is complete.

I contacted IRCC by phone to ask about the passport receipt confirmation. They said they have not received it yet!! Mine was delivered on 11th Feb 2019. They do not have in the system yet. Scary!
