Passport sent to CIC didnt meet 12 month requirement

Hi Guys! So we sent our passports last thursday to Ottawa but the passports were expiring in 11 months and CIC is requiring atleast 12 months before expiration. Is this okay?

We must have got different PPR requirements. On my email it said that the Passport should be valid for at least 6 months.

In any case my Passport does not expire until November 2021, so I was ok regardless of whether it was for 6 or 12 months.

Go back and check your email again. Are you sure it said your Passport must be valid for at least 12 months?

Ottawa requires 6 months, some outland VOs require 12 months.

Ignacio, check with your VO if 11 months is OK, in case you can't renew your passport within 30 days.
