No it has not been sent back yet.

Regards,

Rick
I hope you get your passport very soon, following your steps, because it gives a frame time of how long could it take for me.

I'm Dec.4th applicant, sent photocopies (exempt visa country) of my passport on Oct.22nd , but silly me I forgot to write the track number for the returner envelope. Now I'll be holding my breath until it come back. Also I already bought tickets to travel to my Country on Dec.06th, because if I keep waiting prices will be even more expensive. Well, again, keep holding my breath in this waiting time. ;)

Photocopies of my passport (visa exempt country), photos and copy of the email reached Ottawa yesterday Oct. 26th, unfortunately I don't have the number for tracking returning envelope (I forgot to write it... :( ). So I will be aware of the email and of course of your kindly replies to know when our CoPR will arrive.
Hopefully very soon, I've already bought tickets for going home.... ;) ;) I know, it was a risky move, but tickets go expensive every day that pass, so here I'm still freaking out....

Hey All,

Landed yesterday at the North Portal Border with my family at around 7:30 PM Central Time.

The US side was fairly quick as we just walked across. We had to wait for an hour at the Canadian side as there was only one officer and was really busy. He was very helpful though and processed our application in about 15 mins once he got to us. Did not ask us any documentation in addition to the COPRs and passports.

The journey is over I guess, however i will be in touch through this blog.

Good luck everyone...

Rick73

Can we agree that the time to get your passport back is about 17 days +- 3 days from the time you sent your passport? that seems to be the trend. Correct me, if I'm wrong.

Go figure... I don't know, it seems like there are no rules at all...
I know people who got the passports back within 7 or 10 days and I know people whose been waiting for a month...
As I said, mine sent at October 21st... still no trucking number for the returning envelope. ..

Mine took 9 days between handing my package to Canada Post and having the return envelope in my hands again. At the time (end of September) this was the general timeline and a lot of other people were getting it in <10 days too. Seems that after thanksgiving this time has blown out to around 15-20 days, and I have no idea what the reason for that is.

The only conclusion is that it's very variable, and any info older than a month is not reliable for making future estimates. A positive thing to take from this though is that I can't see it getting much more blown out than it currently is - they have your passport in their possession, so they know they can't just hold you hostage for too long.
