Friends,

I am based in Dubai, UAE. But I received email to send passports to Ottawa. Is it normal to send there and Is it safe.

Why they are not asking me to submit here in Canadian Emabssy, UAE.

That's unusual. I would try to contact cic by email/phone and let them know. If that doesn't work try contacting your nearest Canadian consulate. You have 30 days and should act fast.

I have sent an email to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca asking clarification. Hope to get response soon.

Do you have phone no to contact them directly.

I think in your case, you will have to call the consulate in Dubai.

Just checked the cic website, it's mentioned if you applied from outside Canada you have to call home consulate.

I applied through EE in Jan. I clearly mentioned my address as Dubai, UAE.

Please can you send me the link were it says to contact home consulate.

Just mail Ottawa to have another PPR issued by your LVO (Dubai). The process takes about 10 working days.
