Just wondering! We are kinda excited because we are thinking she should be getting her PR soon, but I'm wondering if there could be some other reason?

Sweet! That's great to hear :D Hopefully it comes super fast.

Any idea how long it usually takes to come back? I imagine each country office would be different though.

It depends which VO it is. Where are you sending the passport?
We are sending it to the visa office in Bogota, Colombia. My wife is currently in Bogota.

Based from members' timeline from Bogota, usual turnaround time is two weeks to a month.
Thanks so much for looking into that for me! I very much appreciate it! I'm going to hope it's sooner rather than later!

Let's hope for that. However, keep in mind that sometimes, they love takin' their time. Ugh! Lol :) Anyway, congratulations again. Stay positive!
yeah i've read a few stories of people who had to wait forever to get theirs for some reason. i'm hoping that's the minority of cases and we can escape that!

Actually it went super fast. We sent the passport in and it arrived last Friday and we got an email today saying that it is ready for pick up tomorrow morning. So that was only three days!

Yea Bogota seems to be pretty fast, I guess the trend continues. Congrats!

There used to be some VO's that request the passport early in the processes (like Manila). I don't know if that is still the case, but before the PPR from these VO's was not necessarily the end of it.

Yeah, the whole process in Bogota took just under 8 months for us, which was decent. I've heard of other people getting it even sooner like 5 or 6 months even. I think ours may have took a little longer because we also needed to get a criminal record check from Mexico which I've heard takes a few months to fully process when doing it from outside of the country. But either happy to be finished! My wife is going to pick up her passport right now from the embassy!
