Passport requested by CHC

Hello,

I applied for my wife's visit VISA last Friday and received an Email today asking for passport. Do they ask passport for VISA stamping or can still refuse application.

This often indicates they are willing to continue to process your application which is a good sign. I believe you applied online and the initial request for passport comes from Ottawa and your file is then forwarded to your nearest CHC for further processing and they ultimately decide if you will be approved.

Hi!

They don't ask the passport if the application was refused. In case of refusal they just send the letter with rejection reasons. Just send/bring your passport to the Embassy to get your wife's visa stamped.
Me too applied recently and it took only 4 business days to proceed the application (last year I was waiting 72 days). Both times they asked for the passport in email and both times it was positive

not to sound negative but i have seen instances where visas are denied even after passport request both most times its an indication of approval

When you applied online Singh178 - did you put on the application form country which you are applying at as INDIA ?
