passport request

mom got the request to submit her passport. She was given two option. Either send it through courier or in person. For those of you who have done it. Is there anything else i need to know about ? Or any tips? Or whats better option .Mom live in a province away from manila. Is it better to just mail it or in person . If we she go there in person will she be able to get the passport back at the same day?

She won't get the passport back the same day. It takes a few days.

I don't know about Manila, but in India it's common to send the passports by courier if you don't live in the same city.
