Passport request

Hello all,

Ive got the email from cic that they request my passport and photos to finish my residency.

I guess that means its residency card .

What papers are they gonna send me back?

I got it in 2 months

You get the card once you land in Canada. If your nationality needs a visa, you will get a single entry COPR in your passport else you will get a letter.

Ok so my next question is , my lawyer received the letter but when i log into my account there it says still in progress and final devision not started .
The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, permanent residence visa. Is this what the letter should look like?

Just wanted to make sure is not a scam email

Maybe they just didnt updated that fast?
