You can still go to pick up your visa, just ensure what time they serve public before making plan to there. They usually gives this out the same day.

Also, as far as I know, CIC doesn't recommend FedEx or UPS (someone can correct me if I am wrong), if they send you the envelope, you need to send the passports in that envelop and use USPS prepaid envelop for returning it back to you, you cannot use tracking on that, unless you send an EMS prepaid envelop from USPS.

Re: Passport Request- Detroit office

Hi,
Letter states please submit the valid passport for all family members, if sending by mail must provide a return address in USA. If do not have a mailing address in USA, you must deliver your passport in person, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 12 noon, your passport will be ready for pick up in 10 business days.

I want to get it ASAP, in the second attached letter they have stated that only courier service is acceptable is Federal Express with paid airway bill and self address. Then there is a note "The Consulate is NOT responsible for any passport lost in mail".

They have a one form to fill along with two photographs of each member which they will use on PR Card with some dimensions.

I want to go in person and secondly if they said will take 10 days, will they actually take that time or will they will give me next day.
Any member have any experience, Please share it I will really appreciate.

Thank you all, I am very happy and wish good luck to you all.

Dear Members,

My case was transfer from Buffalo to Detroit office. I am planning to go in person to get my passport stamped. So, I've to go to Detroit office or main Buffalo.

Thank you,

If your file is in Detroit, what do think would happen if you went to Buffalo for "passport stamping"?
