Passport request Question

Hi,

We have just been asked to send in our passports (July Application) my wife has gotten a new passport since we applied.
Her old passport had not yet expired but she got a new one as she was in her home country and it was convenient.

Should we send in the new or old passport?

Also I need to sens a copy of the photo page of my passport, my passport is almost full of stamps.....very few blank pages.
I am planning to apply for a new passport asap.....is it ok to land with a different passport than the one on the CIC have on file?

At any point you need to be carrying both your old and new passports.
As far as Passport request, I sent in both my old and new passports. My old passport number was in the application. They stamped on the new one and sent it across.
