Passport Request Question

Hey guys!

So it seems my partner's got the decision made and it only took 5 months! Just need to send in the copy of her passport for the whole PR thing. My question is though on the form that asks all about hair colour, eye colour and so on and so forth. However it asks for my passport number and passport expiry. During the whole thing my passport has now expired, even though i'm not the one being sponsored does anyone know if I need mine to be active to put it on that sheet?

The sponsor's passport does not need to be valid in order for the applicant to receive visa/COPR

Not that I don't trust you, but we only have about 15 days left on the 30 days allotment for this aspect of the sponsorship and passports can take some time to process.

I've called a couple lawyers and some say no, some say yes, and some have no idea.

My passport has been expired throughout the entire process and my wife received COPR with no issues whatsoever.
