Passport request - how many days

Hi
After you get passport request, how many days do you get to submit your passport

What of you are Travelling abroad? What do you do ? Can you request an extension?

No I have not. And that's the reason for my question.

I believe you have about 30 days to send in your passport.. You may request a extension but the reason should be valid in the eyes of CIC. It's a gamble.. I would say.
On a side note.. your timeline seems similar to mine.. and we may be getting ppr in the 3-4 months or so.. (It's been so random as to how people are receiving their PPR's).

Yes coz some people get passport request in 1 month time.

But typically it's on 4th month.

Can you post when u get ur passport request.

My situation is I have to to travel abroad and am not able to decide should I or not?

Helloo I have same category as yours..My application filed on Feb 06.2012

AOR and medical recieved on 25APRIL. 2012

they asked for Police clearance and RCMP FP on septemebr 26.2012....

I submitted that stuff yesterday and waiting now for PPR....

as much as I know, ...if you are from a Visa exempt country and/or you're already in Canada,....then they will ask only for photocopies of your passport...all pages...sending with express post takes about 3-4 days....they might process it within 2-4 weeks estimated, another 3-4 days to send it back to you....
