Passport Request - help!

Hello. I got my passport request letter today but I have requested for a new passport shortly after submitting my study permit application as my current passport is expiring in October 2023. Should I submit my current passport or my new passport for visa?

Hi,
this is a personal opinion , you can take it or leave it. I think you might need to submit both. the reason why, because when you issue an new passport you should already informed CIC . send both with a letter of explanation. good luck
