Hi

I am applying outland (Chile), I did again my medical check here in Canada (I have a visitor record until Dec) and send the RCMP police certificate to the V.O., I would like to know when they finally request my passport, the only V.O.allows to stamp the visa is in Chile?, or there is any chance to send my passport to a office in Canada or another embassy. (I had to send few documents, and the delivery time is very random and not cheap from Toronto to Santiago).
And also, what do I have to expect?, my passport with the visa and the CoPR?. I am just asking, so I could send now my passport to my family, and then they could send by courier to the V.O. and earn some time. Thanks a lot.

You must send your passport to the visa office processing your application. So for you that would be Chile.

If you wanted to send it to another office (like CPC-Ottawa) then you would have to request first that your entire application gets transferred to there, which would probably not be allowed.

I don't know how safe it is to send your passport to a different country, and be in Canada without one. O.o
