Passport Request for TRV from USA -Any idea how long it will take??

Hey everyone,

After Applying for online Visitor visa from USA for my father in law and waiting 2 and half months,today we finally got the passport request email.

Any one here know how long that process of passport sent,stamped and returned back to you will take??
His USA visa expires on march 15 and we don't want to risk sending it in if it will take around a month or so.

Also any one know or have any idea about going in person to LA office and submitting passport in person,would that make the process go faster??

I think you have enough time.It takes between 10-15 days.Also if you could submit it in person at VAC NY the process would be much faster.

Our passport was received by application centre on Feb 23rd, 2015. Do you know by when should we expect to receive the visa. My sister's wedding is on Feb 28th and I need my passport by then.
