Passport Request after Medical

Hi All, can anyone please tell me how long it takes to get passport request after medical exam. I have applied for my wife who is in Bangladesh under spousal visa and online status is showing she passed the medical exam. it has been two weeks since the online status update. Appreciate if any one can share their experience.

The timing of the medical can vary greatly, and for outland apps, generally has no bearing on when you will receive PPR.

When did you submit your application?
What visa office is processing it?
Is the background check shown as "in progress" on MyCIC?

The answers to all these questions are more relevant than when the medical was completed.

My husbands medical passed in may and we are still waiting for bgc.

Thanks for the reply, Singapore visa office is processing it. I initially sent the application to Mississauga office in May. Background check is showing in progress.

If your background check is in progress, that is good news and means you are in the final processing phase

I just checked the consolidated spreadsheet and a Signapore applicant from April 27 just received DM and PPR on November 2 (yesterday) so you probably just have a month or two more to wait!

Hi! How long will take before you recieve your PR after medical? They already forwarded our application to our Visa office here and it says that they started processing our application last Oct.24. It shows bgc is still in progress and they send me letter but I didnt recieve any. Thanks!

My husband did his medical upfront and the application has been in process since November 2016. Also its being process w Bucharest VO. Does yours say in process or in progress and what's the difference. Thanks.

In this forum, people say 'in progress' means that it has started

'In process' means its almost done or completed!

Yea I got an email from them requesting a police clearance certificate and bcg changed from in process to in progress kinda threw me off. They also sent me an email on services provided for new comers to Canada. So confused! My hopes are in a limbo ...up and down. Its good in a way because this is the first time I heard from them since May. Been hearing crickets since then
Hopefully the application is finally moving and almost done

There is a whats app group for people being processed in Bucharest and none of them has gotten Decision made or PPR!!!!!!!!!!!

I know! It's so depressing. I keep hoping that I would at least read about one person that got DM or PPR but haven't seen that yet. They're slow and they take forever to reply to emails. Hopefully they pick up their game. Good luck to you!

". Is there anything to worry?? What's ur Spouse's update??
