Passport Renewal

Hello, I have a situation. I received my ITA on April 12, we are a family of 3. Done upfront medicals, but my wife's passport expires Nov 27/2017 about 5months into the 6months process. Can't renew passport when it still has 6months validation, I plan to submit the full application by June ending. Questn: should I leave the passport in process and update profile when renewed later after submission or should I renew the passport as soon as it enters the 6months window and submit application with new e-passport. PS our e-passport carries both current and previous passport number...suggestions please

You can renew your passport with 6 months validity. I just renewed mine with 7 months validity. I'll advise you fastrack your passport renewal bcos the process is getting slower in naija. Dont wait. CIC will not accept passport with less than 6 months validity.

One would have to raise a CSE to update the new passport information.

My daughter's passport will also expire in December 2017 and I think I might have to head to the passport office tomorrow. We have sumitted out App since March though.

Would I need to scan the entire pages of the new passport or just the passport bio data page? Thanks

Dupsyola, thanks for the info. Thought 6months was the rule, Would have it done. She has done medicals already with current passport...my contact at immigration office Alausa told me the e-passport has both new and old passport number....hoping all is fine then...thank u

Just the bio data page i believe. At least that was what my consultant told me to do.

That true, new passport has both old and new passport numbers. You can just raise a CSE to submit new passport later. This is what we did for our passport expiring in December.

Anyone knows the problem with sinp site? Am have not bn able to open the revision page on the site, trying for ages now. My passport expired during app process yesterday n I just got a new one due to naija passport issues as av applied for it over 3months ago

What is s CSE??? And how is it done? The passport is valid till Nov 27, but i plan to renew now and submit, to make it valid for the entire 6months processing time. Only medicals have been done using the current passport number. Am yet to submit to CIC, my 90 days to submit ends July 12, 2017.
