Passport Renewal

Hello,

I applied for EE during the month of February, 2017. Considering the timelines I might get a PPR in the next one or two months. My passport will expiring on Dec 31,2017. So, I got my passport renewed just to be on the safe side. When i applied for EE, I used my old passport details.

1) Now I wondering if I am supposed to update CIC with my new passport details once I receive the new one?. If So, am i supposed to do it through CSE?
2) When CIC asks for PPR, are we supposed to send both the passports (old and new) to CIC?. The old passport will still have your TRV VISAs and everything if you are CEC.

update CIC through CSE. Upload the passport as you did while filing your application.

They usually ask for current passport.
However, they will communicate which document is required. Go as per their communication

If I get a PPR before I am able to update CIC, then what shd I do? Still raise a CSE and wait for them to provide me updated instructions on which pasport to sent? or send them both the passports and explain it in a letter?

Update your new passport detail as soon as earliest

Hello,

My passport expires in May and I have received the COPR. Can an expert please address my questiins-
1. I received a mail from Ottawa office for COPR but my application status is still in progress, have I actually got the COPR?? When would the status be updated?

2. My passport expires in May and hence would they allow me to travel when my passport is valid for less than 6 months as I plan to travel in Jan.

3. Should I get the passport renewed and get the Visa in my new passport only??
