Passport re-issue before PPR

Hello,

I am currently at the IP2 stage and expecting the PPR mail anytime soon. The problem is I have a passport which has a slight water damage at one of the passport officers seals.

I believe i need to apply for a re-issue which I shall be doing in the upcoming week. Can you please tell me in what way it will affect my file and the process of intimation involved?

If you do it before receiving your PPR, I don't think it will affect in any way other than you have to provide a CSE with your new passport details. But, call CIC to be for sure.

Just in case if my PPR comes before I renew. I can still explain the case and send the new one right! ?

I think you can. But, get a definitive answer before doing that.
 
Don't do anything.just wait for ppr.nd send ur passport to them.if they feel ur passport is damaged and needs to be renewed,they wud let u know,else wud stamp ur present passport only.so relax.
