Plan on applying for my passport. I am Canadian (should be at least), waiting on my Proof of Citizenship Certification.
I saw this thread: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/canada-passport-application-question.398292/ from 2 years ago, where one person said:
Are they a necessary part of the application?
Also what about "any valid Canadian travel document issued in your name" - I don't have any Canadian travel documents, never visited or lived there, this will be my first passport.
Just want to clear some things up before applying, thanks!

"It is quite simple:
- Driver License/Id/ or Health Card
- Citizenship Certificate
- Photos
- Application (completed)
- $
That is all you need. Anything else, it is not necessary. "
What about the references and guarantor mentioned here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-passports/travel-documents-references-guarantors.html- Driver License/Id/ or Health Card
- Citizenship Certificate
- Photos
