Passport Question - Using a 4 months left passport to submit to CIC

So my International Passport remains 4 months to expiry, I have tons of my travel history inside of this Passport and I am going for renewals / reissue. Since its due for renewal, i was thinking Can i use this same passport and submit for visa application to CIC (Since the application for the visas are online), and add a note to show that i am going for passport renewals etc.

Please I would be needing clear and concise answers. Do I also have to make a Note? or Show any form of documentation that the passport is undergoing renewals?

Renewal for what? There is no such thing for renewal of a TRV. You are applying for a new one. If expiring and TRV approved it would only be issued until the expiry of your passport.

I did not say renewal for TRV. I want to apply for TRV. My passport remains like 4 months after several trips I made to several countries.
Now here is my problem, since that passport is remaining about 4 months, can I use that same passport to apply for visas to Canada, while i submit for renewals, since I am applying for the visas online

Wait for your new passport and then apply. Showing a renewal form for your new passport is not taken into account. If you apply with your current passport, any TRV will only be issued for the length of your current passport.
