Passport &PR have been expiry for years. can i appy citizenship

my origin country doesnt allow me to renew my passport. I never left canada since I got PR. now my passport and PR have been expiry for years. Any other documents I need to prove I stay in canada all the time? Thank you!

You can apply with expired passport and PR card. Just write an explanation letter as to why you have never renewed them. In addition on the application it will ask if you filed taxes and if you authorize IRCC to contact CBSA for any records.

I second what Rigly68 said, and make sure that the explanation letter is in details and addresses why you were not able to renew your documents. Good luck.
