Hi All!

I have just received an email from CIC requesting photos, and it states that I should 'Make sure you provide the correct number of photos specified in your application guide'.

The most recent application guide says that I should provide 2 photos, but the one that I used at the time of application says I should provide 8. Which application guide should I use?

Thanks in advance!

Ben

you need to go by the country specific guide for your country of citizenship.

Hi CDNPR2014,

Thanks for the quick response.

Sorry, should have specified that both forms are the country specific guide for country of citizenship (UK/western Europe). The form is IMM3901.

Should I use the most recent version of this form?

Thanks,

Ben

i would recommend confirming in the london thread. but, in general, yes you want to go by the most recent form/guide there is.

Thanks a lot for that. I will do

Hello again,

Despite sending the photos to CIC two weeks ago, I have just received a message asking for more photos, and saying 'Passport photos: Photo specifications have changed'.

I have inspected the specifications, and they appear to be exactly the same as when I sent the photos two weeks ago. Has anybody else received a similar email? Could this be due to a problem with the photos that I previously sent?

Thanks in advance!

Ben

Either the photos didn't meet the requirements enough or it's a mistake on part of the CIC. Either way, it'll probably be best just to get a couple more photos taken and send them in.

Thanks a lot for this response. I double checked the photos before sending them, so I assume that it's a mistake on part of the CIC. I will resend some just in case though.

I have also noticed that the 1st email requesting photos was from RIH, Program Assistant, and this one was from LJF, High Commission of Canada (both from London office). Do you know what the difference is between these?

Thanks again,

Ben
