Hello: We're ready to send our application for family class sponsorship for my British husband. Do we include his passport or copies of his passport identification page with the package? Will he be expected to be without his passport for the time period that it takes to process his application which could be months. He is an Officer with the British Royal Navy and may be required to travel during this period.
Thank you for your help.

You only need to send a photocopy of the photograph & details page. If you read through the document checklists very carefully make sure you include everything on there that they ask for, as it says on there for British applications that you only include a photocopy.

you only send in photocopies dear, send your original when they ask for it. Mandif is right. make sure to double check your checklists

Cheers!

Photo copy's only. If you want to go the extra mile you can have your copy certified as a true copy. It was free for us at our city hall...some places will charge a small fee like $20. Just make sure you copy all the pages. (except blank ones)
