Passport number wrong in Scotia Bank

What is the procedure to change the passport number . Actually entered wrong in the system I want to change it .

Scotia bank Student GIC Customer Service(For Indian Student)
Toll-free at 000 800 100 8747. You can call Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm ET(Canadian Time)

Send a scanned copy of Passport to them via Email,,,
Same happened with me two months ago

They told the same thing worried because my visa is rejected .and now when i applied for refund they sya that passport doesn't match.
