Passport number mentioned wrongly in police clearence certificate

Hi,
I'm going to apply for my study permit from Bangladesh by next month. Unfortunately there is one extra digit added to my passport number in my police clearence certificate by mistake. If i write a declaration in my visa application would it suffice or do i must have a rectified police clearence certificate? Plz advice.

No! Explaining in SOP won't work. You have to make a new one or correct this mistake from the Police.

Has to be corrected. Had an error on mine and it had to be redone.
