Passport not returned even after refusal

Got visitor visa refusal message on my online account on 4th October.....but no update about returning of passports yet......I need passport for next travel....what to do?

You will need to wait. It's probably in transit. They would only confiscate the passport if it was a fake or modified.

I'm sorry but I don't know the answer for that. It may depend on visa office and postal services.

Did you opt to collect the passport personally from your nearest VFS/VAC or did you pay for it to be couriered to your mailing address?
 
I received visitor visa rejection notification too (17 Sep 2018) but didn't receive the passport yet though I opted to collect it from VFS/VAC office. Already spoken to VFS multiple times and each time they requested to wait for email notification.

Did you receive it now?

When did u apply
 
I got notification on 15th October for refusal , didn’t received my passport. Dropped a request letter at vfs but no response.
