Passport Not Recieved even after 4 months after Medicals !!!!

Hi Guys,

I am still waiting for Passport . I had my medicals on Feb 8th 2010. Its over 4 months .
I got a reply from embassy for my case specific enquiry on May 31st 2010 saying that Background checks are going on . When i can i expect my Passport back . I have Foriegn Travel History in canada for 2 years 4 months . Could some one tell me when i can expect my Passports back ?

I know bro what this waiting means. I did get a reply from CHC that backgrounds checks are going on but the very next week they stamped my PP, so I wld say dont get bothered by their reply.I too had a FTH to nearly 10 countries.My strong feeling is u and PPS7 will be through this June.GOD is with all of us and my wishes are with you.

You can expect your passport back at any time when they have complete their BC procedure. Regarding BC, I don't think some one can give an exact answer instead of guessing because there is no stipulated time limit to complete it. However as your medical will expire only in Feb 2011, you have plenty of time ahead. Hope everything would be fine and you will be able to get the pp within June or July.

Buddies,

I know what this stage means and this wait is the most challenging part of the application process. My sincere wishes and prayers are with u guys. Apart from getting things sorted out at my end I am equally awaiting for ur approvals too.

A friend of mine has also submitted passports after medicals were done 4 months ago. After two month with no reply, she had to ask them back of course as she had to fly abroad. She returned passports to the CHC upon returning home. Do you think this might have stopped the security/background checks or they were still going on when she took her PP back?
